Requinto Punteador by Instrumentos Miguel Angel

The Requinto Punteador is a hybrid design that fuses the standard requnto jarocho and the requintito doble cuerda, which had 4 pairs of strings and is used in the Veracruz region of Los Tuxtlas. This hybrid design is believed to have been created by master musician and luthier, Gilberto Gutierrez. This punteador is made by our partner Miguel Angel Bravo Hernandez in Tlacotalpan, Veracruz. The tuning for this instrument is in G and is strung G-A-DD-GG.
